SHOUT 24/7 support

Shout 85258 is a free, confidential, 24/7 text-messaging support service for anyone who is struggling to cope. They launched publicly in May 2019 and have had more than 1,000,000 conversations with people who are anxious, stressed, depressed, suicidal or overwhelmed and who need immediate support. As a digital service, Shout 85258 has become increasingly critical since Covid-19, being one of the few mental health support services able to operate as normal at this time.


SiMBA Caithness

SiMBA, Simpson's Memory Box Appeal, was set up in 2005 & works throughout the UK to respond to the needs of those affected by the loss of a baby.


Get into Growing with Thurso Grows

Local community group Thurso Grows has launched a virtual “Get into Growing Group”. The idea behind the free online course is to encourage and support new food growers in the Highlands to get to grips with starting and evolving their skills.

Supporting families in Caithness since 1999, Home-Start Caithness are a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under the age of five.
