What to expect from Home-Start

Home-Start help is completely free and confidential. There is no stigma attached to the help provided and you decide how long you need the service.

Their dedicated team can support you with a mixture of practical help and emotional support. Your volunteer will usually visit you at home for a couple of hours each week and you can decide what happens. This could be helping you make or keep medical appointments; helping you to find out more about local services; accompanying you to a toddler group or just going for a walk together; or having a cup of tea and a chat at home, while your children play.

If you prefer not to have home visiting support, they are happy to offer a phone or text/video messaging service as well.

You can follow Home-Start Caithness on Facebook, where you’ll find information on their various groups and support activities | https://www.facebook.com/homestartcaithness
