Cycling is a great way of combining exercise with the outdoors - both of which help to boost mental health. Whether you want to go cycling alone, as part of a group or with family, there are lots of different options around Caithness including forest tracks, country roads and coastlines.

Highland Bike Academy and Cycling UK were involved in running a Cycle Skills workshop in Wick and the video shows some tips for helping your children learn to cycle.

Highland Bike Academy located near Alness offers kids MTB skills tuition and days out. From beginners to experienced riders and ages 6+. They can be found on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/highlandbikeacademy/ or https://www.highlandbikeacademy.com

Cycling UK is the UK’s cycling charity and now has a Highland branch. They encourage all types of cycling, on the road or off, and support you if you already ride, or would like to ride to work or school, for health, touring, sport and leisure – or just because it’s fun. Contact George to find out more about what’s happening in Caithness, and try out one of their E-bikes!
